Who we are

Celano ceramics is an artistic laboratory that produces tableware, outdoor and indoor furnishings with traditional and innovative decorations. It was born in 2012 from an idea of twenty year old Cristian Celano , with the support of his father, the art master Raffaele Celano .

The ceramic workshop it becomes the ideal place to pass down the passion for art from father to son and to transform it into a job capable of realizing their common dream: creating their own artistic reality.

The laboratory is open from Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 7pm. The headquarters is located in Cava de' Tirreni , in the province of Salerno, a few kilometers from the Amalfi Coast and Naples. Celano ceramics carries out sales and exports all over the world. It is also possible to purchase our creations at retail, directly in the laboratory. Every object can be personalized in shape and design : you can choose the traditional style of Vietri ceramics or the more innovative and contemporary "instinctism".

Christian Celano was born in Cava de' Tirreni in 1990. Painter, decorator, founder and owner of the company Celano ceramics . He started out as a graffiti artist and then obtained his art master's diploma in Advertising graphics, ceramics and photography at the Filiberto Menna art institute in Salerno.

He inherited his passion for the figurative arts from his father Raffaele , known as “Il Baffo”, a man with fifty years of experience in the ceramics sector: in 1974 he was already working at the renowned company Solimene ceramics of Vietri sul Mare, which still enjoys worldwide fame today. Under the direct advice and loving supervision of Baffo, Cristian decides to remain faithful to the traditional decorations of the Amalfi coast, while reworking them with an unmistakable innovative style.

Over the years, alongside classic textures, he gives free rein to his ideas which materialize in increasingly modern and refined decorations, geometric and abstract style , taking as references the artists Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock and Vasilij Kandiskij. This led to the creation of a style, a decoration in particular, which over the years has become one of the most appreciated and requested: instinctism .
